Interview with Tonks!:

1. Why do you play wizard rock?

It's like another version of fanfiction. It allows us to give back to the world through music.

2. What do you personally get out of being in a wizard rock band?

Creative satisfaction and improved guitar skills. Warm and fuzzy feelings.

3. What influences your music/your style?

Harry Potter, fandom in general, other wizard rock bands, and Weird Al.
4. How long have you been playing?

Four months.

5. Do you plan to continue having shows and writing songs even though the Harry Potter series has been completed, and why?

YES. We believe that the fandom should and will live on.

6. What is your favorite part of being in a wizard rock band?

It allows us to combine our favorite books with music and what could be better than that?

7. What is your least favorite part of being in a wizard rock band?

People at school think we're really weird. They avoid us in the hallways.

8. What advice do you have for potential future wizard rockers?

It's all about the music, the books, and spreading literacy. It's not about the drama. Save that for MTV.

9. How do you explain wizard rock to people who are new to the genre or to people who (heaven forbid) have never read Harry Potter?

We just tell people we write songs about Harry Potter and go to concerts in libraries. They give us strange looks, but occasionally they think it's cool. For those who have not read Harry Potter, we just try to get them started on the books. They can't handle the wrock.

10. Is your band completely DIY, and do you think that being completely DIY is an integral part of being a wizard rock band?

We are DIY, and we believe that the mainstream music industry is Voldemort. We think that the major music industry would exploit wizard rock the way it exploited other underground genres like "indie."

11. Have you ever been approached by a corporate record-label asking to sponsor your band? If so, what was your reaction and if not, what would your reaction be in such a situation?

No. No. Avada Kedavra.

12. Has your band ever had any copyright-infringement issues, and if so how have you dealt with them?

No.

13. Is there any specific message you would like to share with your fans?

Keep reading and wrocking and we swear we'll get more songs up and go on tour. First we have to handle senior year.
