Happy 10th Birthday, MuggleNet!
Once upon a time, a 12-year-old kid was suffering from crushing boredom. He thought it would be fun to make a website. So he did. And at first, it completely sucked. Then he got really, really obsessed. He quickly found other obsessed fans -- and you know the rest! HarryPotter.com just wasn't giving us enough of what we wanted, so we took matters into our own hands: MuggleNet is a 10 year long project of collective success involving millions of passionate Harry Potter fans from every corner of the Earth. Every fan contributed in some way - whether it was posting news, submitting fan fics, or engaging in discussion on forums while we went delusional waiting for each book. WOW, has it been fun!
We'll be posting fun new features throughout the month looking back at the past 10 years, so stay tuned. Embarrassing baby photos of Andrew Sims are likely. T-shirts possible. Thank you, MuggleNetters, for your continued support!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUGGLENET!!!!!!!!!! and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!! I discovered this site in 2005 after Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince came out, because I needed Harry Potter in my life after the book came out. This was the first Harry Potter site I stumbled open and it was love at first si(gh)te! lol.

Back in 2001 when I got hooked on to PoA (which was required for Reading class and I decided to read it beforehand to pass time) and Harry Potter himself, I made friends with this girl in my class who also loves Harry Potter. She showed me Mugglenet in our computer lab and the world of fanfiction. We had our own little world! Up to this day, she remains my longest and closest best friend. So thank you so much for everything, Mugglenet! And also for giving me one of the most kickass girls I've ever met. =P
Wooooooooo!! I here announce that I am the BIGGEST Harry Potter fan in the world. I've been with MuggleNet since late 2003 early 2004 when I was reading PoA, the 1st HP book I read, which was the "novel" part of our 9th grade English course But this is MY 1ST COMMENT on the site! I'm so proud to be a MuggleNetter, Happy B-day my best friend =)
wow, i really have been with mugglenet for a LONG time. thanks for helping me survive the gaps between the books and movies! btw, anyone remember when the first mugglenet t-shirts went on sale and a huge epic argument broke out in the comments? i think it was over what qualified you as a nerd depending on when your first kiss was and if you would wear a harry potter shirt in public... good times, good times.

10 Years as one of my greatest friends, I too have been here all this time from a young year four student discoveries the joys the internet could bring me to satisfy my Harry Potter obsession - thanks to Emerson Spartz (My hero) I was sad to know how much the hype was going to die down after the final book, but we will always have the memories of book cover analysis, release parties, movies and april fools jokes every year!! Thanks to all the team, we love you and lets aim to live on for another as the original founded HP fan club for future generations to come.
(oh and I was obviously 10 because I am 20 now!) emersons only got 2 years on me!
